Re: Addendums in relation to the Fund Transactions and SPAC Transactions

We, CITIC Securities Brokerage (HK) Limited, have recently updated our Addendum to Terms and Conditions of Securities Trading in relation to the collective investment scheme trading (the “CIS Addendum”)(available by clicking hyperlink) by replacing the CIS Addendum in its entirety with the Addendum in relation to the Fund Transactions (“Fund Addendum”) setting out the terms and conditions for the fund related transactions. In addition, we also have published the Addendum in relation to the SPAC Transactions (the “SPAC Addendum”) to capture special purpose acquisition company (the “SPAC”) securities trading to be launched by the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “HKEX”).

1. Updating the Addendum in relation to the Fund Transactions

The Fund Addendum constitutes a legally binding contract between you and CSBHK which set the rules and guidelines that clients must agree to and follow for fund related transactions. You may refer to the Fund Addendum for further details. Please note that the above Fund Addendum, as the case may be, shall be binding on you if you continue to use or purchase the service and products offered by us in respect of any fund transaction. 

2. Publishing the Addendum in relation to the SPAC Transactions

On December 17, 2021, the HKEX announced that the rules of the new listing regime for SPAC would be effective from January 1, 2022 (the “New Listing Rules”). According to the New Listing Rules, the subscription and trading of a SPAC’s securities will be restricted to professional investors (as defined in the Securities and Futures Ordinance) only. If you place securities trading orders with us or avail the services from us, you will be deemed to have agreed and accepted the SPAC Addendum.
